about:blank ugh!

My husbands computer has about:blank on it, ugh! I just cleaned a bunch of other crud off it but about:blank is still there. I'm going to go through that sticky thread again and follow all the instructions. Just having a gripe about it, lol If it ain't one thing, it's another.

 

well...about:blank could also mean you want the related browser to open with a blank page instead of opening a site. Have you actually tried going into the configuration page of your browser and assign a spcific web site to see if that set things straight?

i dont know about anything else but ad-aware finds it as a possible hijaker.

right click internet explorer and click properties, under the general tab you should see a white text box. if you have a website in it besides "about:blank"
and you scan and it still finds about:blank then i dont know. but if it doesnt that is the problem like turcoloco was saying.
all u need to do for it not to find it anymore is when ad aware finds it put it on the ignore list and it shouldnt find it anymore.
