Help! I have lost my internet explorer and my windows explorer is having difficulties. I have numerous popups as well as other stuff totally taking over my computer. A message keeps popping up to send to Microsoft that I am having problems with the internet explorer and and microsoft explorer and internet script error report and do I want to send a report to Microsoft. Once in a while it states that I have lost my IP address. My opening address keeps coming up: about:blank, and I can't get into anything! Please help. I have Norton Antivirus and Spyware Doctor and Spyblocks but nothing is helping. Please advise!

 

It sounds like you are having spyware and hijacking problems. I suggest that you read and follow the steps in Major attitudes post "read me first before asking". It has made a world of difference in my computer.

 

I did all I could on those instructions but I still have a slow running computer and continue to receive error messages for Microsoft that say that my internet explorer and windows explorer are not running correctly. Any suggestions???

If you have exhausted the resources of the Cleanup Tutorial, then please , send us a HijackThis Log. Please be sure to follow the instructions below:

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.99) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder – C:\Program Files\HijackThis!

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt File and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.
