    I am wanting to add ram how can I find out whats the most amount of ram I can have?

    win xp pro
    128 mbs of memory
    80 gb hard drive
    pent. 3
    Toshiba dvd-rom sd-c2402
    External Benq cdrw
    ATI RAGE MOBILITY-P video card
    dell inspiron 5000 laptop

    Since you have a dell, you can try going to the dell website and check out the Specs. The buyers info usually tells you how much the RAM can be upgraded.
