Unfortunaltely... when someone replies to my message I can not open the link sent to access the REPLY.... if someone has any ideas about what is going on with my computer can you email me at my address 1st-lady-hill@emailaccount.com. I am at my wits end. Ihaveben told not to uninstall windows xp and start over but I have no idea what else I can do. Also if there is a page that you are referring me to, can you open it for me and send it as I can not get to most of them.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.....

Do your links not work in the web browser or your mail program?

Either... I can cut and paste a link into the url line and it does the same thing... close me out. I was sent several links to download things like Bugdoc and spyware; even the microsoft home page... I can click the links or cust and paste, either way it automatically closes back out. Even to read these responses, I can not simply click on the link in my email or cut and paste. When I get a message that there is a reply I have to pull up the page as if it were my first time logging on and try to find the reponses without clicking on something that will close me out.

    1stladyhill,

Try this and see if it solves your link's problem,

    1. Quit all programs that are running.
    2. Click Start, and then click Run.
    3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
    4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below): • Shdocvw.dll

    • Msjava.dll
    • Actxprxy.dll
    • Oleaut32.dll
    • Mshtml.dll
    • Browseui.dll
    • Shell32.dll

Let us know, we need to redirect you to your thread in Spyware.

You are using win xp right?
    Try run>
    sfc /scannow
Insert your winxp cd if it asks.

I do have windows XP but apparently the disc gven to me is not the correct disc. I had XP installed as an upgrade and the man gave me a disc in case I needed it... but when I put it in the drive, it says that it is not the same disc used to load the system.
