    After recommending them for years, looks like they have gotten too big for their britches. Decided I wanted the new Intel chipset that is smashing all benchmarks and it was not available for ordering online. I called and was told there was an hour wait and someone could call me back. I thought that was ridiculous considering I was buying a PC and would go elsewhere. I received a uninterested "ok" in response. Guess Alienware can have my money then. The Dell I have run the past year has been great, but their prices are, oddly enough, too high. Anyhow, if your considering buying from these guys, I know Jim and I have bought a half dozen machines from them and a handful I sent to them as well as referring to them here on the forums, but this "dont care" attitude has me worried. Email I sent 6 hours ago to audit@ has gone unanswered, guess they dont care either?

    Email:
    "I have purchased multiple computers as has my partner and numerous people I will no longer send to you, not even counting the thousands of visitors on our website. I wanted to order a Ultimate X9 II to the tune of just over $3,000 and the website says I have to call in. So I did. I am then told there is an hour long backlog of calls and someone would call me back. I said that was unacceptable and I would take my business elsewhere. Response was O.K. Hmm, glad business is this good, you have gone downhill. Even Dell was a much better experience and a damn good machine too. Glad there is a lot of other businesses in town who will take my money without me feeling like they are doing me a favor. I certainly can not recommend people call you for a computer."

    If i had an hour of backed up calls, i think i would be adding some more phone lines. Thanks for the warning. ed

    That was my thought, not to wait for an ETA of 1 hour, which you knw will be longer. What will happen towards fall when business usually picks up, 3 hour wait?

    So, I call today 5 minutes after they opened and am given the same run around with the EXACT same "who cares" attitude. Asked for a supervisor and was told he comes in 2 hours later. I now await a supervisor to find out why I have to jump through hoops to order a computer. Of course, that call, if it comes, is twice as long of a wait as it is to try and order. Sad. If you like being treated like crap while buying a computer, rush to Abspc.com, they wont disappoint.

    Very sad when companies think they dont need new business and give poor customer service, ok fine sometimes companies get busy, but if their is a waiting queue, they should phone you back.... hey you were to spend $3000 with then so the cost of a phonecall is immaterial.

    Seems its not just the general staff that dont give a monkeys but also the managment..... but word does spread on the interent like wildfire.

    yeah i e mailed them asking if they would like to sponcer a lan event. i was told yes and told to e mail another guy to get some good deals on prizes for it. well he only offered me deals that were on there website and i told them no thanks since it was a 100 person lan even and it could only help them as a company and im not paying out of my pocket to promote for them.

    on the outher hand alienware sent along 3 full systems for free along with banners and t shirts.

    I never heard back from audit@ but maybe they just read them, I dont know. A supervisor did call back and I was not home, but he left a number that was to the main directory, which has no transfer ability. LOL. Sad, they have good machines, though my last 2 were Dell and Alienware. Dell XPS was a good machine, using it daily. They got both of them beat on price because I want the new Intel Core 2 - 2.93 which is a stupid expensive upgrade I fall for every year. It's usually cool for a couple months, then it's a 300 dollar chip ;) But they had the dual gf7950gx2 I also wanted and XMS ram in stock, where others had different options or limited stock.

    So tonight the guy was cool and offered to leave this guy a message and he would call back, BUT, he also said he could have my call returned to place an order in 20 minutes. I decided to try it and got my call in about 15 minutes or less. Another friendly, helpful guy and got the order in.

    I just dont get, was it bad hair day yesterday? Maybe it was my hair, perhaps I got bent for nothing. I just get used to the simplicity of online ordering, tracking and your done. I can appreciate growing pains, maybe thats all. Let's see how this machine turns out.

    Update, 5 days later. No customer number, no email on my order, nothing on my credit card yet. Called, guy who answered could not find my name in the system, so back to awaiting a phone call from them now. Not too comfotable knowing someone took my credit card number and when I call I am not in the system.

    Thats not very good Tim, how long will you give them before you call your CC company to block any debit from them or will you give them a few days more to sort it out?

    man they better hook you up for all these problems and fix this becuase stuff like this should never happen.

    I did email audit@ with no response. A supervisor called back but apparently was too lazy to write down my cell phone number on my answering machine and call that. I am now 1.5 hours in a promised 35 minute return call on this. I will probably block them within hours as well as make some notifications that their employees might be collecting credit cards, dont know what other explanation would make sense.

    Pissed. Back to waiting now for a supervisor to return my call. I got nothing better to do then sit inside all day.

    Talked to a Nick, he is working on it for me know, starting by going to the desk of the person who took the phone call. I forwarded the email to him and he recognized the majorgeeks.com froma previous call, must have been Jim, so I repeated that I sent Jim, other firends and others from here to them. At the end of the day, it sounds like just bad communication. The reason for having to call them (which would have made all of this go away) was apparently there is some back ordered items, but this is not clear on their website nor was I ever told. My assumption was it was to avoid fraud, but I was told about the back ordering. Nick has promised to resolve this by business days end, so hopefully that works out and these people work on their communication problems some.

    Sadly alot of issues with companies revolve around communication problems or lack of communication, they really need to get some sort of backup contacts/order information on PC for all to see, shared contacts list or more so a who needs to be contacted ( followup ) call/email.

    Lets hope this Nick is true to his word and resolves this and calls you back, and not you Tim having to do the chasing... end of day your the one spending a large sum of money with them.

    Its a pity that it was only the MajorGeeks name that moved them into action, There are certain things a customer should get and it seems its just not happening. I guess they don't want to lose all the people you send there after all.

    The original person who took the call, Andy, has made 2 calls to me within 30 minutes, so they are moving now. My hope is that Nick follws through on it. I think they are a lot smaller then I thought and are having some growth pains. When I originally didnt know who took my call, he thought he knew who it was simply because of his poor English. Thats a small company. Hopefully they can grow with it, I looked at the Dell XPS, Alienware and a couple other companies, but dont like their configs, water cooling or silly looking light up cases that look like a plastic cartoon piece.
