Ac'97 audio problem

    I can get no sound out of my onboard when running win vista home premium. The board and sound work fine when I run xp pro, the board is a k7vta3 by ecs and the sound is realtek built for via using the ac'97 audio codec. I keep getting the message this device cannot start error 10. I checked for conflicts could find nothing. tried the ol uninstall reinstall to no avail. is it just not compatible with vista?
