I am trying to add a solitary 3com access point to a wired network(Netware 6) in a classroom for a PC Tablet. I powered up the access point in the classroom, connecting it to an established active port in one wall. The access point's LED's read positive 802.11b/g connection. I installed the 3com software in my Toshiba Portege laptop, but cannot locate the access point. I have tried other wireless enabled laptops, but cannot locate the access point. I have access points on 3 portable wireless carts, and have used them in this classrrom using the same wall port with much success, but I am baffled by this situation. Any ideas?! Many thanks!

maybe, IT changed the encryption setting (Key, security type...), without telling you?
