    Hi!

Up until this morning, we were able to access this website: www.accessline.com/login without a problem. We have a number and a pin to access user options. As of this morning, when we enter our valid number and pin and select the login button, we are immediately and automatically dumped off of the Internet, Internet Explorer closes and we are back at our Desktop. We can access all of our other sites that require a login and password. We have done a virus scan, Microsoft Windows Update, cleared history, rebooted and performed a ceremonial rain dance in hopes that the computer Gods are listening to our pleas for help! LOL Any thoughts or suggestions as to why we are rejected from this site? Of course, the need for an answer is urgent!! Thanks so much!

    Hi!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have had Ad-Aware installed for some time and I just downloaded CWShredder and Spyware Blaster. Ran those and still have the same exact problem accessing that one website. Really frustrating and, worse yet, this is a client that needs me to be able to access the site so it's effecting my business. Any other suggestions? Thanks very much.

A quick look at that site and I notice that they have changed the way you login to the site? ( dont know from when this was BUT they have a poll on the subject )

Have you emailed them or used the live help function as that may help you resolve your issue as you can access other sites using login it would lead me to believe its this sites problem.

    Hi!

Thanks, everyone, for responding so quickly. We don't have a Firewall. I reset the Security Default. Sorry, I'm a "geek" in training...what's an AV? Yes, running IE6 and scanned for updates this morning. Supposedly we are accessing in the new manner, and had no trouble last night. No changes, that we know of, between last night and today. It is REALLY odd that IE shuts down. Just tried minutes ago and same problem. I wondered if the problem is with the site, BUT my husband can access the site, using the same info, from his computer in another location. So.... Any other thoughts? Thanks!!

    Hi!

OK, now I really feel non-geeky! When trying to flush the DNS cache I get "system cannot recognize path specified." I know I'm entering as suggested, so.....?

Also, we have Norton installed and keep that updated with a nightly scan.

    Thank you, thank you!!

    Hi All,

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I followed all of them and had no luck. I tried one last thing. In order to hear the audio on this site, I had to install Java, which I did. I recalled that after that installation, we began having the problem. So, I uninstalled Java and, yahoo, we can now login and access the site. Of course, now there's an issue about playing the audio on their site. No little icon with the "play, pause, stop" buttons but perhaps we can get around that. Thoughts? Thanks again! :)

Great bit of detective work their Xflat ;)

Yes WB its always worth remembering what you installed or what you were doing before anomalies like this happen.. glad you have the login fixed now, as for the JAVA issue whos JAVA are you using the MS or SUN one, plus where did you download it from... if not from the software makers WWW then I would advise going straight to their download site rather than from a 3rd party.

    http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

the Microsoft one is now not available to download.
