Access Violation Error

When I start up my TV card I am getting an error message which prevents the software from loading

The error is " access violation at address 005288BC in module DVTR.EXE

I've tried reinstalling software and drivers but this did not help. I did manage to get it working by using system restore and this worked for a couple of days and I'm now getting this same error again

Can anyone tell me what causes this error and how can I fix it?

Start with WIndows update and see if it finds you need this>

Then check the TV card manufacturer for updates, patches.
Sorry I couldn't offer more, what little bit that I found was in German.
I need to start running K-Meleon again, I use Firefox for the spell check.

Installed the hotfix and I think I ended up looking at the possibly the same german stuff as you, anyway found a link to a patch and TV card now working!!
