I've got an Access file with the extension MDE. It's password protected, but I've got the password. When I try to open it, I get a message that another file is using it. There's a table in this file with some data I need, what's the best way to get to it?

Access tells me I don't have appropriate permission to open the data base. Get the sys admin to assign me the rights (or something to that effect). I've got the user name and password, but it never ask for them. I don't have a sys admin, it's just me, and I know nothing about access. Can I open this file with Excel or something else?

try making a new access db and linking the tables from the mde to the new db.. then extract your data.
