Accessing email thru Firefox...............

..........suddenly I can't. It is Yahoo email. Can access yahoo home page but not email. I can by using IE. This just started today. Didn't change any settings or add anything. XP home OS. Dell 4600, 1 G ram 80 G hd dr. Trend Micro secutity active right now. XP firewall shut down. Just opens up white page. That's all. Any idea's anyone? Thanx.

OOPS!!!!!!!!! Had inadvertently enabled my Kerio (dual firewall). Exited that and all well. Sorry to bother y'all.

turn off (disable) your firewalls then try...

 

All firewalls disabled incl XP. Still no luck. Reinstall Firefox??????

Yup. You may want to unistall it first, reboot then install the newest version. When I installed a newer version without uninstalling first they both show up in my Add/Remove programs, (works fine though).

 

Did that and works great but still won't open Yahoo email. goes to site and shows top of page...address and Yahoo toolbar etc but page is totally white and void of anything. all firewalls turned off also.......... Anyone?

Well, fixed it...........sorta. kept hitting stop button and refresh several times and finally page opened but color scheme is weird. But at least does open. I guess the scientific approach does work sometimes........
