Hi fellow MajorGeeks.com Addicts ^^. I have been having a rather interesting problem with my Home Computer for the last few months and now PC Tech. in my city can figure it out, so I though I'd ask the real experts. I download A LOT of Japanese Anime via BitTorrent. I have been doing so for years and, until recently, never had problems. But a few months ago I started getting some really fun errors. Whenever I try to access the files I've downloaded, or the partial files that are downloading my computer gives me a Windows Explorer error and shuts down the windows I was accessing as well as any other progy's I have open. I can't even hover the mouse pointer over the files, let alone move or rename them. On occassion I can move or rename files I've DL'd for a few minutes then it starts the stuff again. I can't even access them through Nero to back them up of my comp so I can re-format ;.; . When I try to add them to the burner que it pops up Windows Explorer errors and crashes. The only thing I can do is watch the Anime Vids, lol, by adding them (by Folder) to my Zoom Player Playlist (only Zoom Player, Windows Media and Real no go) and I can't access them one at a time by doing an individual file selection. If anyone has any clue how I can fix this please let me know. I thank all of you for your time and consideration in reading this e-mail.

P.S. if you need my Hardware setup I can post it but I need a link to a good Hardware Profile Scanner, I lost the link I had to the one I used sometime about 7 months ago ><.

    Sincerely Yours,
    X Ninaki

Bitdefender agree to the license and then select Scan. DO NOT CHANGE THE OPTIONS TO SHOW ALL FILES SCANNED. That will make your logs huge and we don't need to see clean files. Once Bitdefender completes the scan:

Click-on the Detected Problems tab. Then select Click here to export the scan report

When the window comes up to save the report, change the Save as type: box to Text (Tab Delimited) (*.txt) and then in the File name box enter change to bdscan then click save. This will save a file named bdscan.txt in whatever folder you are currently in when you save the file (take notice of where you are at so you can find it later). This bdcan.txt file will actually contain HTML code that we can easily view later while reviewing your log. All we have to do is rename the file to bdscan.html.

I ran the BitDefender online scan and nothing was found. Absolutely Zero problems. It also didn't give me the option to save the log.

I had a similar problem with BitComet. The problem wasn't as bad as yours, but I was getting the Windows Explorer has encountered an error and needs to shut down. I still don't know why. I uninstalled BitComet and haven't had the problem since. If I need a torrent, I'll install BitComet, download what I need, then uninstall. I know this doesn't help, but I felt the need to share ;)
