Up until today I have never had any difficulty opening a link that would be in any email I received. Now, I can't access any since I get an error message that claims "the operations have been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this Computer. Contact Your System Administrator".
Interestingly enough in trying to find a solution to this on Google, I happened on to a Vista Forum site where someone was asking the same question after installing and UNinstalling GOOGLE CHROME. (that is exactly what I had done between yesterday and today and so no doubt this is not just a coincidence!).
I have tried everything - that is, anything that is within the realm of my thinking....
Any ideas...??? (it is aggravating to say the least.....)
    Thank you.
(I am operating Windows XP PRO - Office 2007).

Well, I see others are having the same problem. I am operation Microsoft 7 and Outlook 2010. I did not have the problem until I uninstalled Google Chrome. As you said, it is aggravating to say the least.

Hope someone can give us a solution........... Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info...... worked...... New problem

How can I get the hyperlinks open in Firefox instead if IE. Firefox is my default browser but somehow the hyperlinks are all opening in IE which is not what I want. This started the same time as the uninstall of Google Chrome.

    Anyone have a solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    roco,

I'm glad that my information at least provided a partial fix for you! As you stated that Firefox was your default browser and that your links open with IE, I have to say that mine do the same ( although I don't have a default browser set ), and this seems to be a problem that I haven't sorted out yet.

Best that I can tell all Microsoft email software and IE use the same settings, so this could be one possible cause for the problem. I don't have a Vista or Win7 machine at present to test on.

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable on the subject will join in with a fix. :)

much obliged for the link you sent....:)

Thanks for the help with part of the problem.

Hopefully some will have a solution to the other half.
