When I first installed my wireless router (Linksys WRT54G 2.4 GHz ver. 2.1), I used my PC. I haven't used that PC in over a year. I want to clean the HD and donate it. The problem is that I don't have anything updated (antivirus, firewall, OS, ect.) on the PC and can't get on the internet. I want to use my laptop to access Linksys and make changes in my wireless security. I tried to hardwire from my laptop to the router and disabling the wireless connection. Still couldn't connect to 192.....even after disabling the firewall. I connect to the internet using DSL through a 2Wire tower. Any suggestions? I do have the Linksys disk. Thanks!

your gonna need to hook directly to your linksys to get to the admin page. Try start run cmd, then type ipconfig, get the ip address and paste it here.

Found out that I had a different IP address to connect to. Use it and all went well. Got to get in and make changes. Thanks for the help!
