Accessing SOME internet sites

ok,i cannot access sites such as trend micro and computer associates. i can get on the page but it cant be displayed properly because of my activex controls. what should they be because i cant see anything wrong.

Did you recently install Norton Systemworks 2005 or are you running Zone Alarm or another firewall? I am having a similar problem - at first people thought it was a virus, but now it seems more like a configuration issue...Are you able to see sites like yahoo and google but not others like support sites at symantec, etc...?
What's changed on your system lately...

no, i hadnt installed anything i think.
i cant access other sites such as hotmail and msn and panda software etc.

Are you by any chance running a D-Link wireless router? I just spoke to a rep at Comcast and he told me that this issue is happening to people using D-Link routers (like me) and the fix is to upgrade the firmware for the router. In case this is your problem, the Dlink support # is: 1-877-453-5465. I hope it helps -

Rodders - it turns out this was definitely my connection problem. If you have a D-Link wireless router, I'd suggest going to the D-link website, choosing support and navigate to your model. Then download the firmware update and follow the instructions for how to do it. Hopefully this helps -
