Accessing Temp files

How does one access temp files on Xp? The Xp search is too specific to allow me to browse items like audio and video like i was able to on ME. Sometimes you just dont know the title or file name.Or am i missing something? The reason is to sift through what i would like to save for viewing again.

If you go to:

Start - Programmes - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

and click on OK for the drive you want to access, it will show you all the files that can be cleaned from your drive. This includes Temporary files and Temporary Internet files. There is a "View Files" option that you can use to open the folder containing the files you want.

Just don't highlight them and clean them, until you've found what you want.

 

Thanks Mr.Pewty, got there and had a bit of bovver with identifying whats what as the files appear as folders with thier own numbers? I will play about to familarise myself with it.
Not bad this Xp, but have to learn new tricks i knew on ME.

Try My Computer-Local Disk C-Documents and Settings-Your account,or administrator-Tools-folder options-view tab-advanced settings-look under hidden files and folders-radio button for show hidden files. Click on show hidden files. After this lengthy procedure you should immediately see a local settings folder. Click on the local settings folder. The temp folder, temporary internet files folder and the history folder are in local settings.
