#accidentally removed my Realtek high definition drive ?

I was given a Dell computer and while cleaning out all the material related to the previous user, I accidentally removed the audio driver and now I'm facing a world of problems. Not only do I not have any sound, but apparently my video monitor has gone down to, which renders me unable to make the necessary repair. I got to be honest, I haven't the clue as to what to do. I thought it would be as simple as downloading a new driver, but when the monitor went down there was no way to command the computer to do so. I'm working with a Windows XP Home Edition program and I would appreciate any advise on how to overcome such a problem.

Is there any yellow mark in Device Manager menu ? Go for it :

Start - Run type this mmc devmgmt.msc - Ok - right click to yellow device - Properties - Details - scroll down the arrow finding Hardware ids - there is a code in the box , we need it ( select all - copy - paste ) the code here

 

I wish that I could execute such and retrieve the information necessary to solve this problem, but as I explained in my previous post it is impossible to access my computer because the video on the monitor won't display. I don't know if this problem is related to the audio driver, or if it is a separate problem all together.

 

Tap F8 during boot and see if video works in safe mode. Do not use the option Enable VGA Mode as that uses your current driver.

Does the computer use a Video Card or onboard video?
