acer 5742 keyboard changeout ... do it myself?

So I spilled something on the keyboard and now I have "auto b".... meaning that no matter what, the machine trys to put 1's and b's "forever" into any autofill box or info box on the screen. The "b" key is now a "u" key. The auto b run happens even if you've not hit any keys! if you type a 1 key, off it goes.... but if you use the numpad; no problem. So I can get in and out of the machine locked, and can navigate a little as I've learned to get around this to some degree and now have a new keyboard coming. I'm good with such as this and figure I can change it out myself; true? Any special tips appreciated, on this or any laptop for that matter.
