Acer Aspire 5100 upgrade to Windows 7

    I have just upgraded my Aspire 5100 rnning Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate after using Win 7 upgrade adviser (which was all ok) after the final restart all I get is a blank screen with the fashing curser, I have tried running the upgrade again but after it loads files the info panel states windows tried to boot from cd-dvd remove this and restart but after this it's back to the blank screen, I have checked the Bios and loaded F9 default setting but to no avail, Can anyone help PLEASE
