acer erecovery not loading

    okay so I had to run a system restore on my acer computer (uses windows vista home basic), It boots up and starts this acer launcher thing that has been supposedly loading "process 4/7 erecovery manegment" and says please wait. It has been there for the past 45 minutes. I'm afraid to stop the program/process.

    so what should I do? does this particular process take a horrendously long time to load? or has it just hung there for good?
