Hey guys. Im having some power issues with my Acer Aspire laptop. Namely, the power button doesnt function unless I squeeze the spot underneath it and tilt it in the right direction.

Just seems like a loose connection, which is an easy fix on a desktop PC. I just cant seem to get to the guts in this thing. After taking apart everything I could get to, I found that the only remaining screws are underneath the hinge of the screen. (Which I cant seem to figure out how to remove).

I didnt get anything from Acer's site as they do not seem to condone the disassembly of thier units in "unauthorized" (yet capable) hands.

Is there some hidden button to pop the screen off of a laptop? I can't find any more exposed screws.

I do not have my model # ect. handy but I can provide them next time I check this post if necessary.

    Thanks a million.

My acer laptop has the same case as the aspire series, more or less. There is a plastic piece running along the top side (under the power button) this pops off.
