    Hello everybody,

my Travelmate runs XP Pro SP2 and has (by default) 2x256MB RAM. Today I've bought 2x1GB RAM (Corsair) and installed. The system will boot with no problems, I even see in the POST screen the 2GB RAM, but after about 30 seconds, my laptop will reboot and start a hardware test each time!
I have tried something else: 1x256MB RAM (old) + 1x1GB RAM (new) and the system seems to be stable rolleyes , ok, I didn't wait a lot to see if it reboots after a longer time, but it seems to be ok...
Now, I don't know what to do to make it work with 2x1GB RAM, as I read (in internet) that this is the max. amount of memory supported by my MoBo...
Could somebody give me a hand on this?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Conrad

Hi Conrad and welcome to Majorgeeks :).

Crucial RAM for your Travelmate series, check the RAM you bought against the 1GB listed here, chances are there's a slight difference in type, some machines are very fussy and must have the correct RAM.
