acer veriton wont boot

    My acer has been down for over a year, been doing online research and came across a closed forum on majorgeeks.com.

    everything i read was that most likely the mother board was dead. went thru steps to check i out by remving ram, reseat it and so on.. the last thread i read was to replace the bios battery cr3202.. winner winner chicken dinner, for 5 bucks its back up and running.

    ty majorgeeks.com for having this site and allowing me to join and share as well. seems to be a common problem..

    I would suggest to all ppl that they have no display or puter dont boot, replace bios mother board battery first

    Glad you have your PC back up and running and the advice in one of our threads helped in the suggestion of replacing the CR2032 battery on the motherboard, it is one of the first quick first steps to try, especially if the PC is a few years old.
