ACOutCom Error in MS Outlook 2003

I receive the attached error message each time I open Outlook. I select OK each time and the program works. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Hi

I only googled this but it hits your error perfectly and especially if your using ActivCard card readers.

Temp Fix

Try removing word as your default editor.

Tools --> Options --> Mail Format

Uncheck the box: Use Microsoft Word as your Default Editor

Perminent Fix

To get rid of the "ACOutCom
Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
Method '~' of object '~' failed" error:

1) Insert your SmartCard into the ActivCard reader.

2) Open up ActivCard Gold Utilities (Right click on the ActivCard Icon
running in the bottom right hand corner of your screen (next to the clock)
and choose OPEN -or- Go to Start/Programs/ActivCard Gold/ActivCard Gold
Utilities)

3) Go to Tools/Local Policies

4) Scroll down to the "Add Outlook Security Icons in the compose e-mail
window" policy. Click "Properties". Choose the "Disabled" setting, and choose
OK.

However if your using ActivCard in a workplace enviroment its very wise to contact your IT support desk to fix this.
