I am trying to make a batch file that I can open, and then when I press ctrl+L it will activate the script. It would be with a game open, this is so I can close it down faster, as it takes about two minutes to shut down (it runs through credits)

Run your batch file from a desktop (or Quicklaunch Toolbar) shortcut.
In the properties of a shortcut, you can set how the program is going to run and set a keyboard shortcut.
I just tried this with a batch file of my own where I keep a shortcut to it on my desktop.

So what you're trying to do is actually done within the shortcut, not in the batch file itself.
I hope that all makes sense. ???:confused

    Good Luck,

Yes, this makes sense. A blur (not activated) batch window does not get any key strokes.
