Getting a message to activate Office 2013.
It came loaded with my computer, I have no disc.
How do I activate, and if I ignore message does my computer turn into a pumpkin?

    Thanks

Office when pre-installed is always a trial version. Once the trial expires, now by the sound of it, you have to stump up for a licence.

    Thanks for response.
Sounds like a visit to the outfit that built my computer and loaded office is in order

Of course, how could I have missed.
MS sells me a copy of their Office 2013 program, which I install. Nowhere do I find clearly posted that it is a trail copy. (I will, however keep looking.)
Next, MS tells me that I bought a temporary-use copy, and must pay an additional fee for each year I use the program I purchased.
Slick. Glad MS ain't in the pharmaceutical business

MS Office has never, ever been free, but as you have been advised, many branded system builders put a trial version on systems they sell, just like they do with security software such as McAfee, Norton, Kasperksy etc.
It is very simple - if you don't want to pay for it after the trial period, you uninstall it and use an alternative.
And to clear up your misunderstanding, it is nothing to do with MS at all, and they are not actually telling you anything. It was put on your system by the system manufacturer.
Going to them now would be an utter waste of time as they'll tell you what we have - if you don't want it remove it.
If you like the features of MS Office then use something free like Libre Office - works in compatibility with all MS Office files.

If you mean 'Outlook' the mail program included in MS Office (rather than outlook.con email provider online), then yes of course you will lose it. You can't keep something you don't want to pay for.
If you want a mail program (which is what MS Office 'Outlook' is) then you either use the one included already in your Windows Operating System, or you choose a free one like Thunderbird or similar.

When I had the old email programs OEx, and when forced into switching to Outlook, I used an address of my ISP. I noticed Outlook.com's setup is "@Outlook.com"
Realizing this may sound stupid, but can I keep that address with Outlook.com email, or is there a free email program I can utilize that will allow me to keep the old one?
My letterheads and business cards for my canine rescue have the ISP addy
    Thanks

Yes, you can keep any actual email address and either access it on the web (eg at Outlook web account online) or you can also access it within any mail program eg, either the one that inbuilt to your Windows OS, or a 3rd party software mail program.
You don't lose the email account just because you no longer have MS Office Outlook, they are not the same - an email address is independent of any installed mail program.

If you are using Win 10 take a look at the Mail app. Setting up email accounts in it is very simple and it has an excellent user interface. Otherwise you could use Mozilla Thunderbird, the best of a dwindling bunch of email clients. Also, your ISP probably has online email on their website.

After some digging and surfing I found an article that sort of answers my question (see my previous)
    This is what I found:
    http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/how-to-enable-windows-mail-app-in-windows-7.137494/

This sounds a little bit more than just downloading a program. With all the problems I have been having, several of my own making, I am gun shy. I have visions of screwing up some other program, my email, or my OP by trying this.
You guys want to weigh in on this?

Frustration to the umteenth power set in with trying to use Outlook.com in Win 7. Gave up and paid fee to get Outlook back.
