Active desktop and Dll prob

I'm new to this, so bare with me
I had some probs with my active desktop, but finally got it working (thanks to the great support you guys have here) When I put a picture on it, I can't move it anywhere. I checked, and its not locked. So I don't know what to do. When I put my mouse on it, I don't get that grey lil area that surrounds the picture with the X in the top left.
The other prob I'm having is with MSN messenger. Doesn't matter if I uninstall it and redownload it, It's saying that I don't have a cryptnet.dll I dont know what that's about.

As for the active desktop thing. You might try to disable active desktop then reactivate it, remove all objects then re add them. You try uninstalling the new one and installing an older version. This is a know issue with the new msn messenger. Do a google for msn CRYPTNET.DLL and you will finds some links but not alot of good answers. Good luck.

 

Thanks for the quick reply! I got the desktop working, Thank you so much!. As for MSN I had already uninstalled the whole thing and then reinstalled an older one, and it said that to use it I'd have to upgrade to the newest version. So I clicked on it, and Upgraded thinking that would help and I still got the error. Who knows! It's not like I need it, it's just frustrating me not having everything in working order.

 

What are your Windows and IE versions?

 

I'm running ME and Internet explorer 6

 

Save this file Cryptnet.dll to C\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32.
