I have just got a new computer running on Windows 7 64 bit. When I connected it up I forgot to attach the printer. When I tried to print something and it wouldn't, I assumed it must be that it didn't recognize the printer, an HP PSC 1317 (ie. 1310 series) so I tried to add it but it wasn't on the list and I was prompted to go to the HP site. I went there and ended up downloading 360MB of updates. Then when I tried to add the printer I got a message to say that I had to download Windows updates, which I did.

I've been all round the houses but I still can't add the printer. I get a message saying "The Active Directory Domain Service is currently unavailable." I don't know what to do now. Any suggestions?
