Active Movie Window and Codec Tweak Tool

Active Movie Window keeps popping up like a virus
when I try to see a video (all programs)
after installing K-LiteCodec Pack
So I installed Codec Tweak Tool
to disable the whatever that does this.
But I don't know which filter or whatever
to disable.
None of them say Active Movie Window or
anything useful.
What is the right one called
and How would I find out without asking?

I did a little research, and it appears to be a fairly common problem with everything from video clips, to using Skype video-phone. Some people fixed it by uninstalling and re-installing their video drivers, other people uninstalled Windows Media Player 10 (or 11) and rolled back to Media Player 9, other people uninstalled their codecs and installed a different codec pack, and another fix was to scale back the hardware acceleration by 3 or 4 notches (but this doesn't really solve the problem IMO). To get to the hardware acceleration slider, go to Control Panel > Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting..... I'll do some more research and see if I can find some concrete info on this. In the meantime, try some of the things I mentioned and you just might solve the problem... let us know how it goes!

EDIT- a little more research: uninstalling WMP, rebooting, and reinstalling WMP seems to do the trick. If you can't uninstall it, update it to a newer version (for example: WinXP has WMP9 built-in and it cannot be removed, so you'd install WMP10 or WMP11; if you have WMP10/11, uninstall via Add/Remove Programs, reboot, and reinstall it, or better yet, just use a good media player like VLC or GOM or Media Player Classic).
