Active Virus Shield ???

    "We're Sorry! AOL Active Virus Shield is no longer available", is what the download site says, but where can I go for a still functioning AVS to get my updates ?

    Hi

    With a bit of a run around as the link on the activevirusshield site takes you to a listing in which Kaspersky is the AOL Virus Shield then following the link to download that seeing as its listed date was June 2007 which suprisingly takes you back to the its now not available, but looking at AOLs security help the McAfee® VirusScan Plus – Special edition from AOL is the update and still free if your a AOL user http://safety.aol.com/isc/BasicSecurity/

    Yes but I was wanting to keep the AVS since Kaspersky is the best scan engine, and still be able to update it by maybe just changing the update server location.
