ActiveMovie Window:explorer.exe - application error!

I hope this is the right forum for this question.
Ladies or gentlemen, I am hoping you can help me with this problem. Most recently, I've been getting this error message on my desktop as follows:

ActiveMovie Window:explorer.exe - application error
The instruction at "0x04d2321f" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "written".

What does this error mean and how can I get rid of it? Thank you so much for your assistance.

I am using Windows XP computer by the way.

 

Do you have the DivX or Xvid Codecs installed? If so uninstall them and install the k-lite codec pack from here

After uninstalling Divx I no longer get the error message. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Much appreciated! I'm happy once again.
