Ad-Aware compatability

    Hey all,
    Hope I'm doing this right (never having had to post for info before). Our work computer (windows XP, IE browser) got its browser hijacked. I was going to download Ad-Aware, thinking that would clean it up (it works great on my home computer). However, we're running Norton's AV and I can't seem to find any info on whether you can run them together. Also, I would have thought that Norton's could have cleaned it, but I can't seem to get it to. I'm a novice at computers so I'm probably missing something very basic, but I'd appreciate any help I can get. It's dogging our computer something fierce.

    ad-aware runs just fine with norton on a computer. Give it a run and let us know if you need any more help.

    Norton AV is an antivirus tool. Ad-aware, SpyBot S&D etc are adware,spyware detection/removal tools. As InYearsToCome said Norton & Ad-Aware will run fine together.
    Make sure you update Ad-ware after installing. You may want to consider also installing,updating and running SpyBot Search & Destroy. Here are the links:
