Ad-Aware Plus

Anyone here use this one? I am thinking of upgrading from the free version. Any insight on this would be good. Thx.

Use it together with spybot search & destroy and am pleased with both - only have free versions but it destroys all that Norton can't get rid of.

Hi Shataan,

If you are asking whether AdAware is a good program, I would reccommend it. I use it in conjunction with Spybot, and I have had no problems. They are friends with each other, so no conflicts, and they do a really thorough job of protecting your PC from every kind of malware.

 

Major Geeks SpyBot version for d/l is 1.3. And I don`t see 1.3 on the Authors site. Is the 1.3 beta of SpyBot safe to install? thx for the replies. I was just wondering if the Plus version you pay for is worth it. Having the real time spyware checks and such.

addendum:

ok installed SpyBot S&D. Found 3 problems. Fixed, and did the immunize thing. Seems pretty straight forward. Will try it for awhile. Thx all.
