Ad-Aware scans fewer files

Spybot and Ad-Aware rarely find anything anymore. I've got most if not all the spyware tools listed here

One thing I've noticed is that Ad-Aware scans fewer files. It use to scan 70,000 plus, now it's just over 40,000. What would cause this?

I had some slow responses and glitches with my PC. P2 233, Win 98 SE. I downloaded Spysweeper and it seemed to help. No more lock-up's (yet). I did a Hijack this scan after reading the tutorial and removed a few items as well. Any reason Ad-Aware scans fewer files?

As you doubtless know, there are several different scans you can do with Ad-aware. There's a full system scan, a "smart" scan, as well as however many custom scans you may want to do. Are you sure you aren't just doing a different scan than before??

 

Chances are SpywareBlaster is blocking most of the nasties before they even land on you computer.
