I'm trying to get my pc to interface with a palm Tungsten|c through
a wireless peer-to-peer network. Ultimately, I want to access the internet
on my palm through the PC. My PC is running Windows 98. How can I set
up the ad-hoc on the PC, and get the palm to find it?
    Thanks

All I can say is I have tried something similar with ad-hoc and ICS.. it is not 'possible' so far.. even wireless adapter manfuctures claimed that.
If I find out different .. I let yall know.

*grunt* you don't wanna be using an ad-hoc connection for that... its too much of a pain. Since you have a wireless card, can't you make it connect to an AP?

I suppose I could make the laptop into an AP, but wouldn't that be an overkill when only a P2P ocnnection is required? Or is it simpler to make the laptop an AP?

P2P 'should' work, althought I am not up on doing it with 98 wirelessly.. but you ultimate goal of ICS.. as far as I have heard is not possible.. that was what I was commenting on.

Usually there is some software with the wireless device that allows adhoc.
