Adaptec AUA-1422 Driver loading

I am having trouble loading the drivers for a USB 2.0 Adaptec AUA-1422. I can download the drivers, then come in a zipped format, I can run the button that says install but when I go to device manager it has not recognized th adaptec pcmcia card, it still shows the windows xp driver Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller. Can anyone tell me how to get windows xp to recognize the Adaptec (or some other driver to make the card USB2.0) Thanks
