Adaware causing Pc to freezeand will not scan beyond certain point.

    I have downloaded new version of Adaware but it will only scan up to C:\program files\common files\roxio shaped\story board\skins\default before the PC freezes. This is the only place that i have been able to scan up to before these problems arise. Any explanation for this? I have installed and uninstalled this several times but it will not scan beyond this point. Any explanations?
