Adaware Se Personal Wont Update??

I have AdAware SE Personal on my Dell4100 Pent III 933/133 384mb 20gb Wins ME. On startup I begin w/ opening up AdAware SE. It reminds me that I need to update. When I try and run update, I get a message that "error retriving update" message. So I dont get the latest definitions. How can I correct this problem?? ODIE

Delete and redownload adaware to ensure you have the latest version which is 1.05 i believe. Then let us know if you still have problems.

 

I uninstalled ADAWARE SE and reinstalled it. I think it updated on the reinstallation. Also had to to the same w/ Spybot S & D. Thanks for the info. ODIE

 

But if you try a manul update now does it connect and search for an update. Lets check just to make sure we have you going!

When I reinstalled AdAware SE Personsl it updated to the 1.5 and is working just fine. Will let you know if I have anymore problems. I am noticing that when I have any problems w/ any freeware, I have to delete the old program and do a reinstallation of the newer freeware. MG is always on top of the problems w/ freeware and shareware. ODIE
