I just used it and it found what it describes as a trojan in Spybots host file. I am kind of stunned. It was a long string of characters beginning with de. I will reinstall Spybot and see whats up. Anyone else?

I got that, too. It probably recognizes the domain names and flags them. It ought to know better because 127.0.0.1 fairly unambiguously points to nothing. I selected the hosts entries and that "trojan" and excluded them.

You can go in and tell it to ignore where you have the file where you have Spybot located so it doesn't scan there if you wanted to. Click on the configuration (gear), go to "Scanning" (left column) then click on "select drives and folders to scan" and open up "C" and the UNcheck the one specific place for Spybot...

Just an idea -- that's what I did. OF COURSE, you have to be up-to-date with SpyBot at all times and run it regularly also.
