Adblock Plus Melee

I use the original....but, am open minded.

The word on the Firefox Support forum is that original Adblock doesn't work well with Firefox 1.5, problems are often solved by switching to Adblock Plus. If you're not having problems, though, it might be best to stay with what's working.

 

You must be refering to this http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/history.html Words of a thief or just correcting some misunderstandings? Yes, must be very confusing for those who dont know or care, hopefully most dont. Anyway, may be best to test them one by one then use the one which works the best. Ive used Adblock since forever and now use Adblock Plus 0.6 for sure. Nitpicking about icons or features not yet implemented etc. is irelevant, that it feels faster (what he says about better code I guess) is important. If speed comes from "good code" he wont throw away or just making extension minimal I dont know. See no reason not to believe him though.

Unless old Plus maker does not speed up rue so they keep releases in sync with FF you will be using this sooner than later. And then some might be as thankful to this guy as they were to he (Michael McDonald) who saved Adblock from dying.

3 versions is stupid no matter what. Since there is the original and this "lite" (as in better/faster perhaps) I think MM should take out old inactive Plus version. But many prefer that and he is very friendly to users.
