Add-ins and Templates not valid

goto Start > Run and type MSCONFIG > ok > Startup and look to see if that entry is it the systems startup programs

if it is then a good and easy way to remove any item from the startup, without editing the registrys RUN keys isRegcleaner ( free )

run regcleaner and click Startup List then put a tick next to the entry you wish to remove and clcik Remove Selected ( its backed up just in case as well )

 

On second look at this bit (c:\...\Startup\~$bRun 97.dot) and because there is a ~ ( tild ) there it maybe a temp file thats orphaned/lost... what you will need to do ist to make all hidden files show and goto that location and delete that file.

to show hidden files.. assuming you dont already know goto ... in explorer > tools > folder options > view > and tick the "show hidden files and folder"box > apply

then file that location and delete the file.

or try Detect and Repair from the Help Menu... it trys to repair the office package if anything has gone amiss!
