add remove 3gb converter

I installed this software http://www.divx-digest.com/software/3gp_converter.html, but now want to remove it from my computer. It is not listed in add remove programs or the start menu. How do I delete it?

 

Make Hidden Programs Appear in Add/Remove

1. Navigate to C:\Windows\Inf
2. Make a copy of Sysoc.inf for back up
3. Open the original Sysoc.inf file, it will open in notepad
4. Press Ctrl-H and replace the string ",hide" with ",," save and close file.

Reboot PC and go check in add/remove to see whether this prog is now visible

 

Thanks. Question for you. I have been told the program is what is called a "stand alone" program, and thus I need to simply delete the folder with the .exe in it. Would I still need to go thru the steps you provided?

 

If the program is a 'stand alone', it does not install itself on your o/s much in the same manner as say HijackThis. These types of programs can just be removed by way of just deleting the folder and going through the steps I have given you will not yield any success.

Prior to doing that, I would run a quick google search just to make sure. I am not sure what type of prog you have. I can see it is to do divx but I do not use this at all.

Perhaps a better informed user can give you some further insight.
