Hi, has anyone ever had a problem that their add/remove section on the computer has just randomly shrunk?! I went into mine yesterday to remove something and it only had 13 things in there instead of around 30 ...I dont understand whats happened and If I can possibly fix it. I also tried using CCleaner and going into the tools section and see if it displayed what I have installed there, but no luck either....just the same 13... anyone have any ideas whats happened? Thanks

Could it be that it was set to show updates before, and now that option is turned off? If that's what happened, the Add/Remove list would be MUCH smaller without showing updates...

No sir, I can see plenty of programs that are missing from the add/remove still. I see no updates either, but I always have it set without the updates showing. Ty for ya response.

Try scrolling down and make sure it's not just a "blank white space" between your programs.

    Two more maybe's ;)

If you have an external hard drive connected to USB, unhook it.

    Try changing Themes.

I tried that fix Steve suggested from his google search, still no luck. I also tried disconnecting my external HD and changing themes like the last replied said to, no luck with that either :( thx all so far for the responses!!

Thx for all the replies, however still no luck with this problem. I think its probably worth just formatting and starting over. thx again.

Ok a format has fixed the problem, no suprise there then :p Just wondering from a fresh install, which firewall would people recommend the best one to get that is easy to customize in the way of opening ports and creating new rules? Thx to all who replied with suggestions for my problem :)

Cheers Steve, I used to use Comodo but just wondered if anyone else recommended anything different? If I have a router is it not just going without a software firewall?

    For a future reference:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
    or
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

    may be helpful.
