add/remove programs

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me get rid of a couple of annoyances. I use to have yahoo on my pc, but have recently uninstalled the main program. The problem I have is it left "Yahoo! Internet Mail" and "Yahoo! Messenger Explorer Bar" in the Add/Remove list and I cannot get rid of them. When I click the Change/Remove button, they just blink the screen, it seems like a window is trying to open behind the main Add/Remove window, but at any rate, they don't go away. I have tried a search on this site to see if I could find a thread with this issue and fix it on my own, but couldn't come up with any. I know you people are busy and this is nothing more than an annoyance to me so I can wait for other priorities, but if someone knows a fix for this, could you please help? Thanx in advance.

 

Make a backup of your registry before modifying it!


1) Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Look for:

Yahoo! Internet Mail

Yahoo! Messenger Explorer Bar

2) When located, right click and delete!

3) Now Navigate to and delete this directory if it exist:

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!
