I am wanting to add a small hard drive to my son's pc, it has a 2 gig internal in there now, and I have a spare 3 gig interanl I would like to add. My question is, do have have to have an operating system on both? Can the 2nd HD be just for storage, or games? What can I do with it?

    Thanks,

No its doesnt need a OS installed, and yes you can use it for storage, backups etc

what you will need to do is to set that 2nd HDs jumper to slave and make sure your 1st HD is set to master.
