    Hi there

I have an own make computer that at present runs a Jetway motherboard with the following details according to the program CPU-Z it has a VIA chipset number KT400A (VT8377) the model is KT400A-8237 the southbridge is VIA VT8237 my chip multiplier is 9.0x.

My question is simple i have bought a new chip Sempron 2300, that will fit the but having lost the motherboard manual i cannot remember the pin configurations for the various multipliers. Obviously the pin config as is is 9.0x but does anyone have a manual for this motherboard or know where i can get one that shows me the configurations for each multiplier. i have tried the various online resources but cannot find my motherboard.

    Cheers n advance

You will not be able to change the multi with any pins on the mb, possibly in bios, and only if the cpu is unlocked and i dought it, why are you concerned with that?. ed

when i put my first chip into this motherboard i moved some pins on the motherboard as per instructions to allow the chip to run as the correct speed which i understand is the frontside bus x by the jumbeer setttings.

Some boards did have pins for 100,133,166, fsb choice. you will need to check what fsb your new chip runs at. ed
