Adding A Ssd Hard Drive To Pc Desktop

Morning,
Currently when i start the PC i see a black screen asking me do i wish to start C drive 32 bit or F drive 64 bit.
I can toggle between the two & hit Enter
So.......

On my PC i use Windows 7 of which is 32 bit.
I believe you call it a partition where this has also Win 7 but 64 bit & this is the F drive in my attached photo.

My laptop died last night so i removed the SSD from it.
Windows 10 is installed on it and is 64 bit,i only use 1 piece of software on it.

It now makes sense for me to put the SSD Windows 10 into my pc.

My question is the SSD laptop & HDD desktop are both named C drive

Can you advise please what i need to do so there isnt 2 C drives or does the PC see it as C drive HDD and C drive SSD ?

Once i am happy that the SSD is running my software fine on the PC then i will remove the F drive partion

When you install your laptop's SSD, your PC's current OS will assign it an unused drive letter.

 

Very good chance the program you use on the ssd from laptop will not operate from that disk without booting from it. (if that is what you are trying to do), It would be better to just reinstall the program onto your PC. There may be a way to do what you are trying to do, I just don't know of it.
