Adding USB devices to a wireless network

Here's what I want to do. I'm not sure this is possible, nor what kind of device to even start shopping for to make it happen.

    I have:
    1 laptop (WinXP Pro)
    1 USB external hard drive
    1 USB scanner
    1 USB printer
    1 Netgear WGR614 wireless router

What I have to do today is plug the external HDD, scanner, or printer directly into my laptop whenever I need to use those devices. What I'd like to do is hook all these USB devices up so that they are available to my laptop via the wireless network. The only way I can think to do this would be to have a second computer that is wired to these USB devices. But I don't have an extra computer!

Is there some kind of inexpensive device that I can plug all the USB devices into that will make them available on my network? Whether the device needs to be wired to my router or has its own wireless feature doesn't matter (whatever is cheaper, really). I don't even know what such a device would be called to search for it. Any suggestions of either general devices to look for, or specific brands/models to recommend?

    Thanks,
    Nick

Your right another PC is needed for all those devices.
The USB hard drive - could be replaced by a NAS
There is a NAS on that page that has a print server too.
    Printer - USB print server

    or a plain USB Server

by the time you purchase all that, a new PC may be cheaper..

Actually the USB server is all you'd need, that just came off wrong in my post...

you could just buy a usb hub and then when you needed to use your usb devices all you have to do is plug in one usb cable instead of three. that's what i do. why put it on a network?

However if you want multiple people to be able to access it that are on your network, i would suggest just setting up another pc as mentioned earlier in the thread.

I have the same setup and I think networking is the best way to do things i just make sure all the security is set up correctly TO STOP UN AUTHORIZRED ACCESSS ETC

    T attach a portable HD I use this http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=390

    To print I use THIS

As for a scanner i just connect it when needed but i dont use it much......you may work differently:confused:

Hope this helps its cheaper than getting a new pc anyway and it is all wireless
