    Hey guys,

Im trying to add a computer to a domain. The problem is when the login comes up and I enter the username and password of a DomainAdmin it says bad username or password.

I have tried re-installing active directory twice now with the same problems.

Does anyone know what the problem could be, please say its a little check box somewhere! lol

    Regards

    DeeeM

Greetings, XP has a networking wizard,,,try to open your network connections on the PC with the XP and run the wizard, should identify your network setup ,,,and do the work for you PS make sure the other PC's are online and you have enabled file sharing ---Hope this helps, if not please post again, Glenn:)

make sure the advanced options on the login box are set for your domain and not the workstation.

    Hi,

I have set the client to use the DNS of the server which is 192.0.0.1 and have also set the ict.com suffix to the computer name.

I type in "ict.com" in the domain box and click OK, it manages to connect/find the server fine, its just the username and password problem I cannot get passed. I have checked the passwords over and over with no luck.

I have tried the use the Administrator username and password of the server to connect to the domain. I have also tried setting up a new domain admin user and password with no luck either.

Its starting to get really annoying now and Im about to give up.

I will try the setup wizard anyway, but I do not see how this will connect the xp computer to the domain.

    Thanks

    Deeem
