I am trying to put a youtube video on a powerpoint presenation but do not have a clue how.
Someone told me if I downloaded something to my computer it would be easier but I have no clue what they are talking about. I saw some youtube videos explaining how but I get stuck when it gets time to paste the link into properties and change = signs to / signs.

    Can anyone help?

I know for a fact you have to have the URL, and use an embedding option withing powerpoint, but beyond that I'm clueless.

I have never tried the embedding option but what I did was to download the youtube video, format it as a video file playable to the computer (.avi or .mpeg), then do a normal video insert procedure.

Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Movie from File.

    Hi

Jacklantern has given a great answer and one I would have used but I was looking over Office 2010 RTM earlier, installed it but not had chance to use it yet and I know the beat had options to add flash videos (which are what youtubes are) to powerpoint, so looking from that thought to other versions of powerpoint and found these two optiosn HERE (this one looks a nice addon) and HERE
